Location. The Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines affords spectacular cliff side views of the La Jolla, Calif., coastline. The renowned Torrey Pines Golf Course, located adjacent to the hotel, is famous for its panoramic Pacific Ocean seascapes. Downtown La Jolla is five miles away.
Hotel Features. This contemporary property features the Torreyana Grille that prepares world fusion cuisine. The Torreyana Grille is decorated with gallery quality paintings, sculptures, and other artwork that are available for purchase. The exhibition style kitchen provides views of cascading waterfalls, and the outdoor pool and sundeck. This property features a check in kiosk that also prints boarding passes. A business center houses two computer stations and offers fax, photocopy, express mail and print services. A total of 40,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. Recreational amenities include tennis courts, a putting green, an outdoor pool, and a fitness room equipped with free weights, and strength and cardiovascular machines. A full service spa is located adjacent to the hotel.
Guestrooms. This four story property offers 394 non smoking guestrooms. Rooms extend onto balconies or patios with garden, golf course or Pacific Ocean views. Renovated in January 2007, the guestrooms are decorated in tints of persimmon and gold. Rooms feature maple furnishings and louvered armoires that conceal flat screen televisions. Rooms provide MP3 adaptors and offer high speed Internet access for a fee. In room safes are complimentary. Room enhancements include minibars. Microwave oven/refrigerator combinations are available for a fee. Bathrooms are stocked with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries.
Expert Tip. Chef Larry of the Torreyana Grille comes to the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines with stellar credentials. Chef Larry has cooked for celebrities and dignitaries that include The Sultan of Brunei and Philippine presidents Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Joseph Estrada. He was also a member of the 1988, 1992 and 1996 U.S.A. Culinary Teams, during which time he won three gold medals.
